How to Cut MP3 File in 3 Quick Steps

Our audio editing tool allows you to upload multiple audios from various sources, including extracting directly from YouTube.

You can trim and overlap your audios to have one long MP3 or add a cropped music file to a voice-over and set it to play on low volume in the background.

We will show you how you can combine segments of your favorite audios into a super MP3 with no special skills using Keevi.

1.

Upload Your MP3

Upload your audio from your computer or drag and drop. You can also extract your audio directly from YouTube by inserting its URL in the space provided.

Your audio will be added to Keevi’s powerful studio.

Edit Your MP3

You can then cut out parts of the MP3 you do not want using three methods:

  • Under ‘Edit Audio’ on the left panel, adjust the audio’s start and end times. You can also adjust the audio’s volume.
  • Use the split function. Click on the start time of the part you want to cut out and click “Split,” then click on its end time and click “Split.” Then hit the delete icon. Ensure the edges of the remaining parts correctly line up.
  • Use drag and drop to trim audio. Click on one of the white handles on the edges of the audio’s sub-track and drag inwards.

Play the audio to check if the parts you wanted to eliminate are all out.

If there is background noise in the audio, clean it up by clicking “Clean Audio.”

You can add as many audios as you want and create multiple layers. Click on “Add Media” and select “Add Audio.”

The upload panel will appear. Add the MP3 or record a voice-over.

The new audio will be added to your timeline.

Once you have multiple MP3 files in the studio, you can trim and split each audio according to your preference.

Reposition the audios on the timeline by clicking the sub-track and dragging it to your preferred position.

If you prefer, set different volumes for each audio.

Export the MP3

Hit play to check that all the files are appropriately positioned. When you are happy with your work, tap Export, and Keevi will combine and render the trimmed files in seconds.

You can download the file in MP3 format on your computer or share it directly on social media
